Are you having a get together any time soon? Will you be giving out treat bags? Well I have the perfect alternative to heading out and spending money on those plastic ones that end up all over the house and in the trash. Make my super easy fabric holiday treat bags. All you need are some scrap fabrics and a sewing machine.

I made mine for Christmas but these are so ridiculously easy that they should be made for any special occasion! If you want to make your bags smaller or larger, you can do that too. It’s up to you.

Gather Your Supplies

For my treat bag I used one piece of fabric that measures 6 1/2″ x 20″ and one strip that was 1 1/2″ x 15″.

Fold the fabric in half along the short end with right sides facing. To help avoid some fraying, use pinking shears to trim the short edges.

Using a 1/4″ seam allowance sew the sides together along each long side.

Turn the bag right sides out, fill with your favorite treats and tie it up with the strip of fabric.
