My 2025 Year in Review
2025 was a year for recuperation and reflection for me. While I did a number of projects and new patterns, I was not as prolific as in prior years. One of the main reasons for that was because I had a total knee replacement in late 2024 and it took a lot of time to recuperate. However, I did keep creating and I thought I would present my 2025 year in review. Just click on the photo(s) to be taken to the blog post if one of the projects catches your eye!
January
January was a tutorial for this fun and easy table runner using a fpp pattern I designed in 2024. I love this piece and was delighted when someone purchased it from my Etsy shop. You can easily make one with my pattern.
February

For a while I was an affiliate for the Missouri Star Quilt Company and I got some lovely products from them. I also managed a couple of tutorials in the cold snowy winter.
March
March was an exciting month for me. I released four patterns to support the release of my third signature fabric line with Island Batik. Meadow Hues was full of pinks, purples and greens and I love it.
Clockwise from top left are Willow, Pop Heart, Rosebuds and Flower Dance. All four are available in my Etsy shop in either a digital version or paper one.

I also did a quick mini quilt tutorial for Easter using some fun templates.
April
In April I had fun with a disappearing block tutorial and a quick Easter Egg zip pouch. Those pouches would put a smile on anyone’s face!

May – June
Everything was quiet in my neck of the woods. I was working on a few things and unfortunately did not have a chance to post on my blog.
July
I was getting back in the swing of things in July and did a couple of fun projects.

August
This month brought another denim project along with a fun article and video on things I have learned being a professional quilt pattern designer. I often get asked questions about what I do when I am speaking at a guild or teaching a class.
Also…How cute is that easy apron??!!

September
More denim was on tap in September including this adorable mini tote bag. I also whipped up some lovely batik earrings.

November

November was fun because I demonstrated how to turn a quilted vest I had made into some useful placemats. I also reimagined the traditional shoofly block.
However the most exciting thing that happened in November is that I was chosen as one of the 2026 Benartex Sewcial Stars. I cannot wait to show you all of the things I plan on making with their lovely fabrics.
December

December was all about gift wrapping with fabric. I made a video showing 6 different bags one can make. Which one is your favorite? Mine is the mini tote bag.
My 2025 Year in Review
So there you have it…my 2025 year in review. It was not my most productive but I still got plenty done. Now I just need to get ready for 2026!
Happy Quilting! – Claudia
