I am over the moon excited to be debuting my very first signature fabric line with Island Batik. Full of 20 bright jewel tones, I have designed 4 quilts to showcase the fabrics. Not only that, but 10 friends are using some of the fabrics to make some fun projects. My Prisms blog hop begins on June 16 and runs through June 28. Each day a different designer will show off what they make.

Stay tuned because there will be giveaways and lots of fun for everyone. Just look at all of the gorgeous fabrics in the line.

The Prisms Fabrics

The colorful batiks in this line are ideal for all sorts of projects. I was inspired to design four different projects and each one has a completely different look to it. From fresh greens to daring purples, the line has got a little something for everyone.

My Quilts

To celebrate Prisms and the blog hop, my four patterns will be 20% in my Etsy shop for the duration of the blog hop. I took all of the quilts on a little field trip to snap some photos. It was a bit breezy but I had lots of fun and the sun was shining.

All four quilts were beautifully longarm quilted by Melinda Keppler.

Sunday Morning

First up is Sunday Morning. Using 8 fat quarters and background fabric, this 56″ x 56″ quilt is full of sparkle. Ideal for a confident beginner. Because of all of the half square triangles and fun border filled with squares, the design twinkles. You can pick up the Sunday Morning pattern here.

Frenzy

With various color placements Frenzy looks like it is vibrating. It is a striking 70″ x 70″ quilt that is a good fit for an intermediate quilter. Because of the layout, the exploding stars really shine. You can pick up the Frenzy pattern here.

Blooming Garden

Because of the shapes, Blooming Garden has a more traditional look to it. For my version I used some of the more subdued jewel tones in the the line and I love the way it turned out. There are instructions for two sizes, 58″ x 72″ and 72″ x 86″ (pictured). This is an suitable pattern for an intermediate quilter. You can pick up the Blooming Garden pattern here.

Lotus Blossom

The Lotus Blossom pattern is a funky and modern quilt that has a groovy vibe to it. Measuring 59″ x 69″, the design has plenty of movement in it. Ideal for an intermediate level quilter, Lotus Blossom is lots of fun to make. You can pick up the Lotus Blossom pattern here.
