Garden Bloom Fabric Blog Hop
I’m not sure what the weather is like where you live, but as I write this, the temperature outside is about 10 degrees. Yikes! So I’m sitting inside at my computer with a nice cup of coffee and this pretty quilt to warm me up. The fabrics in my “Stained Glass” pattern just scream spring and summer and brighten up any day. I made this quilt as part of a Garden Bloom fabric blog hop featuring this beautiful new fabric line from Island Batik, a division of Lumin Fabrics.
Garden Bloom was designed by Jerry Khiev for Jane Hauprich of Stitch by Stitch Quilting. The minute I saw it I knew exactly what quilt I would make out of it. The colors are so lovely and, while I am particularly partial to the corals in the collection, they are all stunning.

The pattern I chose for this blog hop quilt is my Stained Glass one. It is made with a pack of 10″ precuts and background fabric. I really wanted to show off all of the fabrics in the line so I thought it was the ideal design to use. To set off the bright pastels I used Island Batik’s Coconut from their Foundations line. The pattern makes a throw size (54″ x 67″) and is available in my Etsy shop in both pdf (digital) and paper versions.

My quilt was showing off on the cold winter day I took these photos. It has already been claimed by my daughter who loves the colors in it.
You’ll definitely want to head over to Jane’s Garden Bloom Fabric blog hop post to check out the four gorgeous quilts she designed for the line. You can find her post here.
